Peter Marshall:
Pensacola, Fl. December 13, 1961
Multi-instrumentalist Peter Marshall first started playing musical instruments that his
father had strewn throughout the house. "My pop use to play with Ernie Williams and had many beautiful instruments that my brother and I would play."
Peter grew up influenced by diverse styles of music from the 70's, right up through today. With the likes of; Stanley Clarke, George Benson,
and the great Lewis Johnson influencing and driving his musical development.
Peter's local musical journey has led him through many types of acts, from Gospel,
Jazz and Funk through the standard Rock and Blues bands.
Currently Pete has infused heavy funk and soul bass lines to the Second Mile's live sets.
His musical and performance skills are well known throughout the Capital District music scene. The Second Mile
is proud to add a talent like Peter and looking forward to playing with him for years to come.
Pete’s Lightbulb Moment:
"I chose to play bass guitar over the
saxophone when I was eight years old because I didn't get lightheaded playing it! "
Out Take:
“I don't really play
bass. I play one half of the rhythm section.”
Equipment List:
Basses:
- Fender Jazz
Combos:
- Ampeg B-100R This is my main giging amp. I'm still ecstatic over the
sound I get out of it with my Fender Jazz Bass. I like it so much that I
bought a second and use them in tandem in larger venues.
